Halloween Makeup with Luna & Lark

My Halloween hot take it that I still want to feel like me. I enjoy the variety and the creativity, but shopping for a polyester costume to wear the one time, just doesn't feel sustainable — or comfortable if we're being honest.

I like using makeup to get into the spooky spirit, and there are a lot of Luna & Lark options to help you find yours. Here is our Pinterest board of Halloween How-To's, and the makeup you can use to re-create the look. Full disclosure, finding these looks without AI images was feeling a little too impossible this week, but I promise, I personally tried the fawn look last year, and it may have taken three tries before I didn't feel like it was a Pinterest-fail, but I did pull it off. I have faith you can do it too!

The Enchanted Fawn

Soft, wide-eyed, and suspiciously good at looking innocent while being the main character in every photo. Perfect for Halloween because it turns basic contouring into woodland sorcery.

When I tried this look, I found that a cotton swab with white nail polish did better than white eyeliner to create the dotted fawn effect.

Start with an SPF primer, so your makeup sticks well, and then do an all over base foundation — choose something that won't cake because this look requires A LOT of contour.

Use a Shape Stick like this one from Axiology to draw the outlines you'll need — think a defined nose, high cheekbones, and blending to your neck and hairline. You can also use this on your eyes, or you could try something more glamorous from their Of the Earth Balmie Trio. Next apply highlighter - Heaven on Main Street's Diamond shade is a bright white opalescent shade that you can see the model wearing on her nose, forehead, and around her eyes.

Finish with River Organics Zero Waste Mascara to draw on the lips and nose before using it to line your eyes and enhance your eyelashes. Don't forget to shape your brows! The enchanted fawn is all about the eyes, right?
Consider layering one this scent from Ellis Brooklyn to truly embody the Fawn vibes.

The Living Jack-O’-Lantern

Orange, glowing, and slightly unhinged—just like the holiday itself. This look nails that “I carved my personality out of caffeine and sugar” energy.

This makeup is nice because you get to make this look what you want it to be. Add a cozy, oversized sweatshirt or a fancy linen wrap dress, just make sure it's orange!

Start with your normal foundation — or Fung-dation. I used Heaven on Mainstreet's Sun color pod as the base for my cheeks and eyes. Then I topped them with Minori's Cream Highlighter in Champagne. If you buy their No Makeup Glow Kit, the Cozy Lipgloss is the perfect compliment for a semi-nude lip to complete this look.

Finish with River Organics Zero Waste Mascara to draw on the jack-o-lantern mouth. Then use it like your daily mascara!

Channel your inner cornucopia by creating a unique scent and blending scents from the Love Triangle trio. You get to be beautiful, cozy, and glowy without the "trying too hard" part.

The Cozy Koala

Fuzzy, grey, and too adorable to be scary—but that’s the trick. Everyone else will be melting latex onto their faces while you’re out here serving comfy chaos.

This light makeup look is perfect for someone who wants to show off how dedicated they've been to their skincare routine.

Start with SPF like any skincare devotee, and then apply a glowy skin tint, if you need it.

The River Organics Peachy Blush Stick is perfect for cheeks, nose and eyes with this innocent look, just layer extra on the nose. Finish with their Rose Quartz Highlighter and a few swipes of mascara

Alternatively, you could use the Cotton Candy Skies Balmie Trio handy for more colors and layering without losing the sugary sweetness this look needs. Speaking of, consider Sugar Moon to own the night.

What I love about this look, is you can keep the lips simple. Just choose your favorite Poppy & Pout Lip Balm flavor. Is Wild Honey too on the nose for a bear?
